David Anatol Brotzkus St. Petersburg, Russia 1910-1992 Israel. 1928-1935 studied architecture at the Technische Hochschule, Berlin-Chalottenburg. Studied art at the studio of Johannes Itten and at the Vereinigte Staatschulen fur freie und angewandte Kunst. 1935 immigrated to Israel. 1935-1938 worked at several architecture firms in Jerusalem. 1938-1939 worked independently designing residential buildings in Jerusalem. 1940-1942 worked as an architect and designer for the British Army. 1943-1948 worked as an independent architect. 1949-1950 served as director of the Jerusalem Regional Planning Committee. 1950-1992 worked independently as an architect and urban planner in Jerusalem (planned municipal, residential and commercial buildings, hospitals, university buildings and memorials). |
