Lives in Tel Aviv.
Studied painting with artists Avni, Stematsky, Streichman, Janco and Ardon in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
1956 studied Fresco painting at the Florence Academy of Art, Italy.
1960-1965 designed sets for the Cameri Theater; the Inbal and Bat Sheva dance companies; the Martha Graham Dance Company; and for Gian Carlo Menotti operas at festivals in Israel, Florence and Spoletto.
Created environmental sculptures, including one at Heichal HaMishpat (the court building) in Tel Aviv.
1976 represented Israel at the Venice Biennale and created an ‘Environment for Peace’ in the Israeli Pavilion.
Exhibited in group and solo exhibitions at prominent museums in Israel, Europe, Korea, Japan, Brazil and the United States.
1958 First prize at the 10th Jerusalem Exhibition.
1977 Israel Prize for Sculpture.
1996 UNESCO Artist for Peace prize.
1996 Goslar Kaiser Ring for the visual arts.
1998 Premium Imperiale art prize, Japan.
2004 received the Berlin Prize for sculpture.
