1951-1956 graduated from the Faculty of
Architecture and Town Planning at the
Technion – Israel Institute of Technology,
Haifa.
Studied at the Architectural Association
School of Architecture, London.
1974-1979 served as chief architect of the
Ministry of Housing.
Compeititions and prizes:
1960 competitions for the planning of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem (Second Prize) and
the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (Second Prize).
Rokach Prize for the El Al building, Tel Aviv.
Competition for the planning of the Lady Davis
High School, Tel Aviv (First Prize). Competition
for the Israel Bank, Jerusalem (Second Prize)
1967 Rechter Prize for the planning of the
Negev Center – a commercial and residential
center in Be’er Sheva. 1969 Reinholds Prize for the residential and commercial center in
Be’er Sheva. 1970 Rokach Prize for residen-
tial buildings on Be’eri Street, Tel Aviv.
1986 Supreme Court Building, Jerusalem (First
Prize in international competition, with Ada
Karmi-Melamed).
1987 Faculty of Architecture
and Urban Planning at the Technion – Israel
Institute of Technology, Haifa (Second Prize)
1996 Prime Minister’s Building, Jerusalem
(First Prize).
1999 Rechter Prize for the Yad Layeled
Museum, Kibbutz Lochamei Hagetaot.
