Michael Gross Israel 1920- 2004.
Born in Tiberias, lived in Ein Hod. 1935-1940 graduated from the Mizrahi teachers’ seminar in Jerusalem. 1942-1943 studied architecture at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa. 1951-1954 studied sculpture and painting at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Paris. 1953 received honorary mention at the International Exhibition in Deauville, France. 1964 received the Struck Prize from the Haifa Municipality. 1967 received the Dizengoff Prize from the Tel Aviv Municipality. 1971 received a Gold Medal at the 11th Sao Paolo Biennial. 1977 received the Sandberg Prize from The Israel Museum, Jerusalem. 1987 received The Education Minister’s Prize. 1995 received the Gamzo Prize from the Tel Aviv Museum. |
